I am a PhD Candidate at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education (HGSE). My research is focused on philosophical issues in epistemology as they relate to childhood.

This includes questions like:

  • What is a child?
  • How should we think about children’s epistemic abilities?
  • How do normative concepts (such as rationality, epistemic agency, autonomy, and understanding) inform conceptions of children? How should they?
  • In what ways is the concept of childhood itself historically situated? How should its historical dimensions inform normative questions about children?
  • Should developmental psychology inform our understanding of children? What are the limits to psychological approaches, and psychological research as it stands today?
  • How should a better understanding of children inform formal and informal education?

If you are thinking about these or similiar questions, or would just like to get in touch, feel free to email me here [akazi@g.harvard.edu]
