I am a PhD Candidate at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education (HGSE). My research is focused on philosophical issues in epistemology as they relate to childhood.
This includes questions like:
- What is a child?
- How should we think about children’s epistemic abilities?
- How do normative concepts (such as rationality, epistemic agency, autonomy, and understanding) inform conceptions of children? How should they?
- In what ways is the concept of childhood itself historically situated? How should its historical dimensions inform normative questions about children?
- Should developmental psychology inform our understanding of children? What are the limits to psychological approaches, and psychological research as it stands today?
- How should a better understanding of children inform formal and informal education?
